 The notable feature of GN 316 ratchet spanners is their extremely sturdy design that permits torque as high as 180 Nm. These spanners are available in a variety of different inserts (with square key, with hexagonal key, with thread or with notch).

Moving the trip cam to the neutral position will disable the ratchet function, allowing torque to be transmitted in both directions for tightening or loosening.

 Safety hand levers GN 604.2 are used where unintentional loosening or readjustment can result in accidents.

If not engaged, the lever turns freely. When the lever hub is pushed down, both serrations engage, allowing the fixture to be released or clamped.

When released, the connection disengages through spring tension.
